Jongleurs: This is again one of the best comedy clubs in London and it has a chain of 16 comedy clubs. It started at 1983 and now has three venues in London including Camden, Bow and Battersea. The Bow and the Camden venues are open only on Fridays and Saturdays and the last entry is at 8pm. This comedy club features varieties of different talents from the field of stand up comedy. The performances at the club are followed by a disco. The Camden venue holds around 380 people. Moreover, the tickets range from £15-16.

English National Ballet during this Christmas Season

The English National Ballet is a well known classical ballet company which was founded by Sir Anton Dolin and Dame Alicia Markova. This ballet company is the leading ballet company of all in Europe and is also a touring company performing theaters at special events. The company’s performance is not only restricted to Europe, but they conduct various international tours for their performances. There are 67 dancers in the company which also performs overseas. Each Christmas season the company regularly performs at London Coliseum. It is also known for giving special stage performances at the Concert of Diana and at the Royal Albert Hall.

This season the English National Ballet has returned to the London Coliseum with three new wonderful ballets. These traditional Christmas performances include: The Snow Queen, The Nutcracker and Giselle. As far as the event dates are concerned, here is the schedule for the three ballets.

· The Nutcracker: 16th Dec 2009 – 3rd Jan 2010

· The Snow Queen: 8th to 17th Jan 2010

· Giselle: 20th to 23rd Jan 2010

The Nutcracker: This ballet show has Clara, along with her Nutcracker doll and the magician Drosselmeyer. The story revolves around their amazing adventures in the kingdom of sweets and the land of snow. It is designed by Gerald Scarfe.

The Snow Queen: This is Hans Christian Andersen’s classic winter tale telling the story of Gerda’s request to find Kay her friend who has been put under the spell of the Snow Queen. This ballet sets vibrant and classy costumes set together for a magnificent spectacle.

Giselle: This is a Romantic ballet, a saga of the power of true love.

London’s City Farms

 London City Farm

Those who want to take a glimpse of the rural life without leaving the hustle-bustle of the town, London’s city farms is an ideal option for them. In order to experience the slice of rural life this is one of the most amazing things to do in London. These farms are basically community managed projects which work with plants, animals and people. You will find these farms throughout the city thus, offering a lot of green space to the visitors and of course to the local residents of London.

Hackney City Farm:
This farm is a community and an education resource, well enclosed with rabbits, calves, sheep, ducks and other animals. In the early 1800’s the inner site of the city was used as farm as fresh produce was grown here for the residents. This city farm was a home to West’s brewery from late 1880 until 1930’s starting variety of other businesses ranging from button manufacturers to furniture makers. However, it now houses small animals. The opening timings for this farm are Tue to Sun 10am-4.30pm (Monday closed).

Deen City Farm
Deen City farm is a stable farm which offers a complete family entertainment and regular activities including feeding animals and a lot more. The farm spreads over five acres of land in the London borough of Merton. You can do pony rides frequently during holidays. An on-site shop and café is also available. In order to take part of the rural experience, there is a volunteer scheme which allows you to learn how to look after animals and plants. There are riding schools within the farm as well.

Various other farms include
Hounslow Urban Farm, Kentish Town City Farm, Spitalfields City Farm, Stepping Stones Farm and lot more. These are some of the interesting and worth visiting city farms in London and these would be a great addition of things to do in London list.
